Thumbs up Etowah Train Excursions

The Etowah Chamber of Commerce web site has posted information on re-starting the train excursions between Etowah and Copper Hill. This is over the old L&N Loop. Tenatively it's hoped that this excursion will start this spring. Schedules and prices are not yet available. For more information go to: http://www.etowahcoc.org/visitorinf...description.asp

Note that this year is Etowah's centenial celebration and this link will also connect to events associated with this festival. A number of the events revolve around the old L&N Station and the downtown area. The station has a very interesting museum that's worth a visit. Not to mention the operating train yard in back. This station is the prototype of the beautiful n-scale model Charlie Womac scratch built.
