HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

KAMRI hopes everyone had an enjoyable New Year's Eve and are in a positive mood for 2010. Here is a feel-good win-win act you can start the year off with that is very easy.

Applebee's restaurant on the Turnpike (Rt. 95) in Oak Ridge, TN is sponsoring a pancake breakfast for the Children's Museum from 8 to 10 am on Saturday, January 9th. For $5 for adults and $2 for children, you can get a delicious breakfast of pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee or milk. All proceeds go to the Children's Museum. Food will be prepared by Applbee's staff and served by CMOR volunteers. You can buy tickets in advance from our KAMRI club president (Larry Burkholder) or at the restaurant door on the 9th. If you live anywhere within driving distance of Oak Ridge, now is your chance to show how much you appreciate the museum and its commitment to our club. See you there.

Everyone that came to enjoy bottomless pancakes and sausage at Applebee's should pat yourselves on the back for helping support the Childrens Museum of Oak Ridge (CMOR). T'was a bit cold getting out that morning but from my perspective it was pretty well attended. The all volunteer staff (CMOR folks) ran their tails off (including the dinosaur!) making sure everyone had an enjoyable and filling time. My thanks also goes out to Applebee's for their great support of the museum.
