Dogwoods and Garden RRing

My wife and I attended the annual Dogwood House and Garden Show Sunday. And I can hear you all say "What does that have to do with trains?" Well for one thing, how many different colors of mulch are available for my garden. But to get back on the topic of this web site I did drool over one very large and nicely landscaped G-scale railroad. Our own KAMRI club member Mark Furman and his crew build another one of their great show layouts. The kids were fascinated by the two aquarium trains, The dads and sports nuts enjoyed the UT decorated train, and the railroad enthusiasts marveled at the ABA set of Southern PA's pulling the passenger train not to mention the steam powered logging train. If you needed an extra work out you could try your hand out on the hand powered maintenance scooter (or what ever they are called). The Channel 10 Live at Five crew gave it their all on their Friday show.

Sorry but no pics cause no camera in hand.

I do believe I need to get me that winning lottery ticket tomorrow and start planning something for my backyard!
