Upcoming Train Shows

We have some train shows in our general area in the upcoming months.

Great Train Expo (http://www.greattrainexpo.com)

January 27-28
Kentucky International COnvention Center
Louisville, KY

March 24-25
North Atlanta Trade Center
Norcross, GA

Worlds Greatest Hobby (http://www.wghshow.com)

February 3-4
Cobb Galeria
Atlanta, GA

Can't speculate on the quality of these shows but let's hope for the best.

Re: Upcoming Train Shows

The scuttlebut is growing for the Worlds Greatist Hobby Train Show in Atlanta February 3 and 4 at the Galeria. I've now read that Atlas and Neals (yeah!) are a couple of the vendors that will be at this show. Take a look at the following link that has a listing of who should be at this show: http://www.wghshow.com/3/atlexhib.html

I think this has the potential of being a good show. And boy can we use one after a couple years of drought. Lets talk day trip, lets talk car/van pool, lets talk to our loan officer???

Re: Upcoming Train Shows

A day trip sounds like a good idea to me.

Now, that is stating the issue diplomatically.
Has anyone attended a Great Train Expo before? I may just "save myself"
for Atlanta, but sure not wanting to make that drive. Carpooling might just
make it feasible.

Exclamation Re: Upcoming Train Shows

The World's Greatest Hobby show is sponsored by model railroad manufacturers and only goes to four cities a year, so it should be pretty good. However, Feb. 3rd is the International Fest at the museum and we are asked to run trains all day. We need enough guys to man the layouts, including Garden. With an all day obligation on Saturday the feeling is that we can forgo our regular 1st Sunday meeting the next day. Some of us are looking at going to the show on Sunday.
