7.5 inch guage 4-6-4 rebuild

Here are a few pictures I thought you might find interesting. They were sent to me from a freind in Lexington, who helped lift the locomotive up to get the drivers out from under it.
They are of a 7.5 inch guage 4-6-4 'Hudson' locomotive that is having its tires replaced. To replace the tires, you have to of course get the drivers off the locomotive which is not an easy task especially on a locmotive of this size. I would estimate that this locomotive weighs around 900lbs with tender.
To get the drivers off you need to lift the locomotive up and take all the rods and valve gear off and then drop the axles out of the bearing blocks. Then get the drivers off the axles.
Thought you might find this interesting.

Re: 7.5 inch guage 4-6-4 rebuild

I wonder if it's any easier to quarter one of these than my n-scale Hudson? Thanks for posting!
