SARM 'F' Units at ETTP

Charlie Womack and I stopped at ETTP after our last KAMR meeting to take a close look at the two EMD F-units parked near the highway. One unit is a Milwaukee F-7A, the other is an FP-7A. We were not able to determine the (original?) road name of the FP. I've looked at these units a number of times but not until this visit did I notice the gap between the lead truck and the first fuel tank. Many of you know that this was a custom option from EMP that extended the unit by 4 feet just behind the crew cab to incorporate additional water storage for the steam generator.

Charlie took some pictures that I hope he can get posted soon for your scrutiny.
