April 30: 5th Sunday N-Gathering

Seeing as how this is a 5th Sunday we have the side event of an ad-hoc flea market for those that want to swap or sell train stuff.

During the CMOR open house session Billy's good looking Kato SF F3 pulling the Zephyr would consistantly derail on the #1 main when entering the quarry module going counter-clockwise. It seems we have a buggered section of track that has a bad dip on the outside rail. Looks like we will need to tear up about 8 inches of rail and lay new track. this should be a priority at this and/or the 1st May gathering. I just can't stand bad mainline.

I will try and start placement of the new bridge piers this Sunday. Hopefully this won't be a big deal so Bob can continue building the entrance to the national guard facility.

On a side note, during our last Arby's visit it was decided that one of the next businesses should be a hobby shop. With that decision, the next wee construction project will actually contain two businesses. We soon will have a place to get our noggins bobbed at Billy's Barber Shop and next door will be N-Pire Hobbies. Anyone want to build an operating layout for the store window dispay?

See ya...
