new live Steam loco
Hey,
I posted a few pictures of Joe Holbrook's Ps-4 so you can see what it will look like when finished. Later - Andrew Last edited by nickco201 : 06-08-2017 at 07:47 PM. |

Something in the back of my mind was saying it was only a matter of time you hooked into one. Seems like for every event I attended you were not far from the unit you have pictured.
Happy building!

Andrew-
That will be awesome when you get her finished! I agree, Bruce needs to get another scale going... maybe do an N-scale layout on the tender of your PS-4! Let us see when you get her all dolled-up, ok? Thanks for sharing, -Phil

Re: new live Steam loco
I agree I'd realy love to have an S-2 (aka GN 4-8-4). But I see one problem (finances not applicable here) is the speed limit now in force on the Columbia tracks. The S-2 is a high stepp'n engine that loved to cruise at 80. Very much akin to the N&W 611. I think that will scale down to a bit more than the speed limit. But there are other venues where one can 'decarbonize the cylinders' with some heavy throttle settings!
I will take Andrew up on his offer to handle the throttle when she's ready for running. I can be a bit impatient to he better get constructing.
