Thumbs up Health Update 3: Bob Sanders

The latest from Marty Sanders on Bob's recovery:

Today is Bob's 10th day in the hospital (Ft. Sanders Regional - room 16).

I was there late yesterday afternoon when the surgeon came by. He's still concerned about infection in the incision and has Bob on IV antibiotics. Also, after sawing the sternum (breastbone) in half to perform needed functions, the surgeon closes the operation by using wires to pull the sternum back together. There is one place where the doctor is concerned because the two halves are still moving and not mending together. Also, he was coughing too hard, so they gave him something to calm down the coughing since that "might" be the cause of the sternum not mending properly.

Bob walks several times a day and enjoys doing it. Marty
