June 17: 3rd Saturday N-Gathering
I know on good authority that our buddy Phil had to take a trip over and up to Owensboro, KT. What does that really mean. Well, my favorite mail order n-scale hobby shop is there, Rio Grande Hobbies [http://www.4nscale.com/]!
I placed an order with Phil that included two sets of fencing, one with and one without a gate for the armory. It also seemed that we needed a 'Jug Band' and Farmers Market Woodland Scenics figures. Hopefully he was successful on his trip! As for this coming Saturday I plan to be at the museum by 10:30 am to get things ready to run. This day will be in concert with the Oak Ridge "Secret City Festival" and (hopefully) should be a busy day to show off our trains. Also note that our own Phil is the bass player on the band (sorry Phil I don't remember the band's name) preceeding 'Blood Sweat and Tears'! So if you have the desire to stay in town after a day of running trains I recommend going down to the concert. Phil's band is very good and I know BS&T is. What I don't know is if any of the original band members are still a part of this group?
