June 4th: 1st Sunday N-Gathering

The plan? I don't have one this time except for arriving by 12:30 pm. I will attempt to initially work on the dam and proceed to checking the inner track electrics of the peninsula reversing loop.

I hope to come up with an extension cord for the peninsula transformer to re-establish local operations. The cord should be long enough to reach back to the outlet strip used for the main layout power supply. It just occurred to me that we should also transfer the power cord for the carnival to this strip as well. This would assure deactivating all layout components (if we remember to shut off the strip ).

I am assuming that others will continue with their associated projects such as Bagelton development and the NG base. The new overpass work will be on hold until the base entrance has been installed.

I had a thought on the quarry module #1 mainline track issue I mentined in earlier postings. Instead of tearing up the track due to a small dip on the outside rail, I wonder if it could be built up with a bead of solder and sanded smooth? It sure would be a lot less work.

See ya'll Sunday!
