A Sad Note
KAMR members, just a note to let you know that Donald "Doc" Armes has pasted away late Wednesday evening. Doc was a charter member of the KAMR and a member of the original Oak Ridge Model Railroad club dating back into the 1950s. Doc was a retired Southern Railway engine man, and an avid ham radio operator. He was always a delight to be with and made sure that we always ate well on our club road trips (and at least once on every trip at a Cracker Barrel!!)
Services will be held Friday afternoon at Rose Morturary, 1421 N. Broadway, in Knoxville. They will receive freinds from 1:00-3:00, service @ 3:00. Grave side will be at Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 W. Adair Dr., @4:00. I told him that Jim Schall, Mike Mace, Corky Ford and myself would be pall bearer's. Call me if you need directions or anything changes.
