Newsletter Posting Update

During our open house I was informed that some folks cannot open/read the posted newsletter in the MS Word format and have requested including a pdf verison. This is usually not a problem as long as the file size can be managed. My problem with the july newsletter was one figure was saved into the original document but was a high-resolution photo. When I tried to convert the Word file to a 'pdf' it would not reduce in file size and therefore I was unable to uplaod the file.

For future reference, I have discussed the photo resolution issue with our news letter editor and concluded that any photo that is requested to be inserted into the newletter should also be sent to me as a seperate 'jpg' file. I can reduce the file size using my photo software then substitute the smaller file. Once the substitution is done, posting the pdf conversion of the newsletter should not be a problem.
