KAMRI N-Scale Layout Mods

Our upcoming KAMRI gathering is also the 3rd Sunday open house so be prepared to wow the public.

Also, we now have in hand a number of new switches to start our n-scale layout modification from a 3-track main (aka N-Trak standards) into a 2-track main. I suggest that we do this work in stages initially and see how the layout can be operated. The following two kitbashed photos show the first phase of the transformation. This installation will isolate most of the outside (red line or #1) main with the exception of 2 switches on the industrial modules.

I realized that with the installation of just two switches that we essentially end up with a branchline. by this I mean that to service the ice house and other neighboring industries you will have to access the track from the industrial modules and drive on around the outside track to get there. By adding a short runaround track at that location this makes for an interesting operating scenario.

See y'all Sunday!
