The "McElhoe Mercantile"

Larry Burkholder and I have completed another fine business establishment for the 'town with no name'. Larry painted and asembled the structure and I added the window curtains, entry canopies, and the show window details. This one brings back memories of the old big department stores. Growing up in Seattle I enjoyed visiting the downtown Bon Marche (Now Macy's) and going up to the 7th of 8 floors to visit the model train section. As a junior high schooler this was my first real experience with train shopping and this place was one of the areas best for its time. I would lust over the long row of brass steamers!:p

Being my namesake I know the window displays represent the fine lines of merchandice that can be had for not much more than half the tripled price of an outlet mall.

Bruce and Larry, Very nice job. Looks great since you do not have Bagelman in the back ground. Bob (Phil's hero)

Awesome job, Guys!

A bit of advice... make sure to put it REALLY far from the "Strickland Five-Finger Discount" store, in case something bad "happened" to Bob's store and caused some collateral damage.

I don't know in advance that ANY kind of MAJOR CALAMITY will happen to Bob's fine establishment, you understand... just passing along some hypothetical information...

Phil "dirty deeds done dirt cheap" Brooks
