How to (NOT) wreck a train...
 
In 1944, the U.S. War Department made a film showing how hard it is to derail a train by blowing-up sections of rail. This is pretty amazing how much abuse a train can take and still stay on the rails...

I guess none of these guys understood some of the basic laws of physics - momentum. Now if they had gapped the rails on a curve...

Gomez sure new how to blow up (Lionel) trains in his basement.;)

ermmm... i think I meant 3mm gap, or less, sometimes.

Moot point, no layout right now but planning a new one soon.

Also, Gary's given me the green light to refurb the store layout. :D
