I thought I'd test the knowledge of our web social group (except Phil B. and Jim S.) by asking for your thoughts on what this flatcar was designed for. Here's a couple of hints:
1) I took these picture today on the Department of Energy Oak Ridge Reservation. I think this would be a great kitbash project especially with the load. |

Re: What Is This Car For?
Just wouldn't you know it that the first guess is it's a Bagel Buggy.
NOT! Another typical n-scaler response that's always something to do with food.:D Next guess please. |
Re: What Is This Car For?
OK- I'm going to spill the beans- :D
It was a [THIS MESSAGE CENSORED IN THE INTEREST OF HOMELAND SECURITY], and was built in the year[THIS MESSAGE CENSORED IN THE INTEREST OF HOMELAND SECURITY]. The supervisor of the project was [THIS MESSAGE CENSORED IN THE INTEREST OF HOMELAND SECURITY], who's previous experience was building popcorn bag openers for [THIS MESSAGE CENSORED IN THE INTEREST OF HOMELAND SECURITY]. The car's load, which consited of [THIS MESSAGE CENSORED IN THE INTEREST OF HOMELAND SECURITY], weighed approximately [THIS MESSAGE CENSORED IN THE INTEREST OF HOMELAND SECURITY] and was routed to [THIS MESSAGE CENSORED IN THE INTEREST OF HOMELAND SECURITY] for final delivery. No need to thank me for clearing all this up for you, it's all in a day's work. -Phil |

There we go again, another n-scaler reference to food - popcorn bags. It is NOT a popcorn bag tranporter.
Where's the Keystone Kops when you need them? I think Phil needs to dive into something besides banana wackies.;) |

OK so no one has a single idea about this (except Mr. Bagelman). I can't fathom how no one can figure out what this car transported. Maybe I need to ping the crowd of lurkers out there with some additional clues.
This car in its last use did not carry anything radioactive. It did not contain a propulsion unit but looked like it had one. Some folks were determined that it be all wet at the end of its rope. So... |
