turn of the century layout
 
i am doing a turn of the century lay out. dose any1 have a suggestion to help me along?

i have a norfolk and western steam engine. i want to get some more engines like that for my layout. in some of the pictures of other layouts the buildings are weatherd i tryed to do that once but it didn't turn out to good dosse any 1 have tips on that???? :confused:

I will just say that our club has many excellent modelers that include weathering. Also take a look at this web site: http://www.trainweb.org/hi_railers/wthcarp2.html

thanx again the reason i put up " i can help any1 with ideas for diffrent layouts so just post ideas or what u want and i'll try to help!" is because after i put up the first post in general topic i went and found an old book with a bunch of layout stuff in it.so i offerd to help people with there layouts from what i know.

i found a good picture of a "turn of the centery thing". this is my first time putting pics. in a post sooo i don't know if i did it right.

:confused: i have two steam engines, and a very very long train. i tried pulling the train with one engine but it won't pull it. i tried with two but one engine wants to go forwerd and one wants to go backwerds. is there a way to fix this so they both go forwerds? because i am getting very frustrated HaHa :confused:

Hi Big,
Can you post the manufacturers names? All HO locos recently manufactured
(AFIK) running on DC move forward with + voltage on the right rail.

I have an old Revell tank engine which was reversed from this, and had
to swap wires on the motor to be able to consist it. Kind of a ticky job,
but worked out OK. If you can get the shell off you can see how much
trouble it is to reverse the motor.

well one of them is an old one and thAT is the one i would like to chage around. my dad just brought it out from storeage and it is running great! but i don't know how old it is. i can find out though. i'd like to keep in touch if that is ok so you can help me out if that is all right with you

my layout space is limited...it is 4x5. got any tips for a small layout?
