From Larry Morton:

The third meeting of our S scale group will be held Saturday, Nov 15 in Hendersonville, NC. Our clinics and discussions will take place at the Hendersonville train depot on 7th Ave, followed by a layout tour and dinner at Larry Morton's home. We hope to start at 10AM. A couple guys asked about accommodations for Friday night , so we've listed the motels near the I-26 exit 49 which is a mile from the depot. There is a new restaurant right across the street from the depot that will serve our lunch. Anyone wishing to arrive Friday is invited to Larry's house for discussion, an operation session on his Reading railroad, and refreshments. We would like everyone to respond to this email to let Larry know if you intend to come to Hendersonville and whether you would show up Friday or Saturday. Below is the tentative schedule of events and a list of motels. Exact directions will follow later. We are going to ask for a $5 donation from each of you for a small contribution to the depot and to help with the cost of dinner.

Hampton Inn 828-692-2333

There are plenty of restaurants near the motels on Rt 64

2:45 Clinic on 1:the making of molds using coal and latex, 2:the technique of combining castings for rock faces, and 3:using small castings to make stream beds, by Ken Parsons
When Ken finishes, we will all drive to my house (10 minutes) where my wife will have a large pot of her famous chili and all the accutrements for dinner and we will tour my S scale, Reading Railroad layout featuring the coal hauling in northeast Pennsylvania. You are welcome to stay and run trains as long as you wish. The layout is 28' X 16', all the track is laid except the main yard, it is 50% sceniced, and I run the NCE wireless DCC sustem. Sound is installed in most of my locos. Locos and rolling stock consist mostly of American Models and S Helper and I have not yet weathered anything. The view from my house is worth the trip alone.
Don't forget to respond to this email with your intentions

Larry Morton
